Subjective action in "The Last Duel" - 3 ways to deal with the problem of a long first act

'The Last Duel' is a recent Ridley Scott film in which the story is told in multiple "Rashomon" -style points of view. In this video I explain the problem of the long first act that is common to this type of films. Knight Jean de Carrouges (Matt Damon) challenges his former friend Jacques Le Gris (Adam Driver) to a duel after Jean's wife Marguerite (Jodie Comer) accuses Le Gris for taking her against her will.
